FAQs

Why do you ship only to the United States?

Currently, international shipping rates from the USA are astronomical. To cover all of the different possibilities, it would take an endless amount of time per item to cover every country / region.

If you do not live in the United States but wish to purchase a book for sale, please email Sammy@SpookySammyBooks.com with the title(s) you are interested in and your address. This will allow us to generate an accurate shipping cost and send you an invoice to make the purchase.

Do you only sell horror books?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Our focus is on horror literature. It is an incredible genre that historically has been overlooked and undervalued. We are currently in a golden age of horror. This should be celebrated. That being said, many people who read horror also read other genres. GASP! There are many amazing science fiction and fantasy books and authors. Same goes for other genres, both fiction and non-fiction. Our non-horror offerings will be things we think you may be interested in or are simply just popular overall, but this will remain a small part of Spooky Sammy Books.

Did you just say we’re in a “golden age of horror”?

Hell yeah! We are. If you don’t think so, I recommend you glance around at the sheer amount of amazing horror being published by places like Shortwave, Tenebrous, Truborn, Clash, etc. in addition to the many outstanding self-published titles and incredible authors and books on the Big Five. This is a golden age.

You really have a lot of Stephen King. You must really love his work.

The man has written a lot of books. People really love his body of work. What would a horror bookstore be without King? Our goal is that while someone is adding a King to their cart, they will browse the rest of our books and add an indie or self-published book to their cart, as well.

Do you buy used books?

Currently, maybe not. If you live in or near Vermont, we could possibly arrange something!

Would you buy books from “________”, an indie publisher?

Sure! We want to support indie and self-published horror as much as possible!
